Requirements:
- ncpfs version 2.2 installed and operational (slist) on the Linux box.
- For common features on these utilities (installation, configuration, translations...), see ndscommon.tcl
Usage:
- You must have at least one authenticated connection to the target tree (ncplogin, PAM module ou ncpmount)
- After locating the target volume press "mount".
- This should open a KDE windows on the volume.
- You will notice that there is no mounting point edit area in this utility.
Mounting will be done using ncpmap in "automatic mode";
that is in a SERVER/VOLUME directory either :- in a $HOME/ncp directory in current user Unix home (default behaviour)
- in a /mnt/ncp directory if you set mount_locally to 1 in /etc/ndsclient.conf.
This setting is required if user's home are on NFS volume see the FAQ
- As with ncpmap, this directory will be created if needed and will be granted 700 permissions.
- In the lower part of the window, a list of current mounted resources is displayed.
User can dismount any of them by selecting it and pressing the "Umount" button.
When no more resources belonging to a tree are shown, current user is in fact logged out from that tree.
Re-accessing resources must be done using a call to ncplogin or ndslogin.tcl
- If you are not authenticated to any tree, too bad .
Download:
- ndsmount.tcl in included in contrib/tcl directory of current ncpfs.
- just recursively copy this directory somewhere (/usr/local/bin ?) and don't forget to copy and edit ndsclient.conf to /etc
