TCL/Tk ncpfs graphical client for NDS
ndspassword.tcl
Purpose:
ndspasswd.tcl try to alleviate password changing task by performing extra verifications
before sending data to NDS via the command line utility /contrib/tcl-utils/chgpwd .
Current user password policy is displayed in the central part of the window.
Requirements:
- ncpfs version 2.2 installed and operational (slist) on the Linux box.
Usage:
- For common features on these utilities (configuration, translations...), see ndscommon.tcl
- You must have at least one authenticated connection to each tree (ncplogin, PAM module ou ncpmount)
- The top area shows you you current connections to trees.
- For the selected connection, you see you password restrictions ( expiry, minimal length and required).
- The button "Change" will be active if :
- Current user has the right to change his password.
- The two values of the new password are identical.
- The length of the new password is equal or greater to the required minimal length.
- The new password is empty and user can have an empty password.
As usual your "old password" must be correct for password changing to succeed.
Download:
- ndspassword.tcl in included in contrib/tcl directory of current ncpfs.
- just recursively copy this directory somewhere (/usr/local/bin ?) and don't forget
to copy and edit ndsclient.conf to /etc
